This bathroom remodel took an unusually long time because of 

1- contractor drama with the original contractor (read my review on Angies List if you want the scoop, just ask me for his company name)

2- drama with ridiculous quotes in finding a new one

3- finding the awesomest contractor who stepped up to deal with our funky house drama

And a funky house it is indeed.

What happened in the time it took to do that: 

Gavin Started 1st Grade

Jason went to Vegas (and came back a winner)

I had a birthday, and got my iPad

Gavin and I went to Boise and surprised Yoshiko (as usual)

Halloween

Jason's birthday where I unselfishly purchased him us Pro Bowl tickets

Thanksgiving, where the contractors worked.

Did I tell you they are awesome?

We spent a lot of time (and tons of money) at Lowe's)

did this to my toe, which is now a pussy mess. you're welcome for sharing.

gave myself a first degree burn on my stomach from a molten, errant piece of pasta (no i was not boiling pasta topless thanks for wondering).

Jason is so impressed he hired them to turn Gavin's play room into a laundry room.
